The Virgin Islands Department of Education, State Office of Special Nutrition Programs has announced the availability of the 2019 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Sponsor Application.
According to D.O.E., any public or nonprofit organization interested in obtaining a sponsor application package or more information may contact the State Office of Special Nutrition Programs at (340) 774-0100 x 2817 (St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix). The application deadline is Friday, May 3, 2019.
School age children between 2-18 years may receive free meals through SFSP, D.O.E. said. A person 19 years of age and over who has mental or physical disability (as determined by a State or Local Educational Agency), and who participates during the school year in a public or private nonprofit school program (established for the mentally or physically disabled) is also eligible to receive meals.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, and at any USDA office. You may also write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.
