Customers of the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority now have another convenient method by which to pay their electrical and potable water bills as WAPA launches its Auto Pay service, the authority announced today.
“We are pleased to offer our customers yet another convenient and hassle-free method by which to pay their bills. An automatic bill payment is a money transfer scheduled on a pre-determined date to pay a recurring bill. Using the WAPA Auto Pay Service, customers can be assured that their payment will never be late, avoid late charges or even service interruption. And of course, using Auto Pay avoids the customer the trouble of doing the same task each month,” said WAPA Executive Director Lawrence J. Kupfer.
To setup Auto Pay, go to WAPA’s website: www.viwapa.vi, and click on “pay your bill online” or “pay your bill” tabs. Follow the simple steps and be on your way with the new Auto Pay service.
In addition to Auto Pay, customers can choose from a variety of options in which to pay their monthly utility bills:
- Local bank branches of Popular and First Bank;
- WAPA Customer Service offices at Sunny Isle, St. Croix; Port of Sale, St. Thomas, and The Marketplace, St. John;
- Pay By Phone – 340-774-3552 / 340-773-2250, Option 3;
- Pay On Line – www.viwapa.vi;
- Self-service kiosks at Sunny Isle, St. Croix and Petrus Plaza, St. Thomas
“WAPA continues to utilize the latest technology available to create convenient options for our customers to not only pay their bills, but report service interruptions, get updates on service restoration timelines and other pertinent information from the Authority,” Mr. Kupfer said. The executive director encouraged customers to sign up for WAPA Alerts, which can be activated via the authority’s website, www.viwapa.vi.
