Local Businesses To Be Recognized During Chamber Of Commerce’s Annual Excellence Business Awards

Business / News / Virgin Islands / March 7, 2019

ST. CROIX — The St. Croix Chamber of Commerce will recognize local businesses during the Annual Excellence in Business Awards on March 30, the chamber made known via release. The event, which will celebrate businesses that have membership with the chamber, will take place at Gertrude’s Restaurant from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Chamber Strong”, according to the release, with the chamber promising to present a gala that is exciting with live entertainment, delicious food and the opportunity to mingle with fellow business professionals, chamber members and guests.

“Events like the gala are an important opportunity for the local business community to come together and support each others’ successes,” said Chamber of Commerce Chairman Ryan Nelthropp. “In order for the chamber to adequately advocate for local businesses we need to maintain strong ties with each other. I cannot think of a more fun way to do so than over a great meal and good music.”

Conveying the gala as the place to be on March 30, the chamber is encouraging potential patrons to “put on your dancing shoes.”

Entertainment will be provided by ‘Jazz Central’, the Central High School Seniors Jazz Band, followed by DJ Unlimited Sounds and a special ‘Glow Performance’ by Coral Fire.

Gertrude’s will cater a delicious buffet dinner for guests to enjoy, as winners in the following award categories are announced:

• New Business of the Year

• Small Business of the Year

• Business of the Year

• Non-Profit of the Year

• Professional Woman of the Year
