Orientation For St. Croix Public Schools Announced

The Dept. of Education on Friday announced mandatory orientations for the 2019-2020 school year. School fees not outlined below will be shared with students and parents during orientation.

John H. Woodson Junior High School

August 28, 2019

  • 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. ~ Grade 7

August 29, 2019

  • 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. ~ Grade 8

Students are required to wear school uniform and parents should be prepared to purchase school insurance and photo ID.

Arthur A. Richards K-8 School

August 29, 2019

  • 10 a.m.
  • All grades

Cafeteria

Fees will be accepted for:

  • Insurance $18 or photo copy of the front and back of the private insurance card for each child
  • School ID – $15
  • PE Uniform (youth sets) – $25

St. Croix Educational Complex High School students and parents/guardians who did not attend orientation held in June are required to attend a mandatory orientation for school year 2019-2020 at 9 a.m. on August 27.

Freshmen are asked to report on August 29 in uniform to take the school photo ID. For students needing replacement IDs, photos will be taken during the lunch period when school reopens.

Parents/guardians who received a color-coded orientation card at the June orientation are asked to have those cards present at this orientation. Students and parents/guardians are also asked to pay school fees on the following dates: 

August 28, 2019

  • 9 a.m.-11 a.m. ~ Grade 12
  • 12 p.m.-2 p.m.~ Grade 11

August 29, 2019

  • 9 a.m.-11 a.m. ~ Grade 10
  • 12 p.m.-3 p.m. ~ Grade 9

  • Magnet Polo Shirt: $25 (magnet students only)

  • Grade 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

August 22, 2019

  • Grade 12 at 9 a.m.

Freshmen and new students are required to wear the uniform shirt to take school Photo ID. Upperclassmen needing to replace Photo IDs are also required to wear the uniform shirt.

Male/Female Uniform Shirt/Blouse: White, short-sleeve, button-down at the front with collar or loose-fitting, white polo shirt.

Freshmen

  • $20 for school ID
  • $18 for school insurance (if not covered under parent’s insurance)
  • $15 for PE shirt

Upperclassmen

  • $20 for replacement ID (only if current ID is lost or damaged)
  • $18 for school insurance (if not covered under parent’s insurance)
  • $15 for PE shirt (only if enrolled in PE class)
