Ricardo Richards Elementary WishList Event Scheduled for Oct. 20

Ahoy young pirates (and pirate parents). 

The Pieces of Eight Treasure Hunt WishList event for St. Croix’s Ricardo Richards Elementary School is planned for  Sunday, Oct. 20th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. and again from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. 

The pirate themed event will be held at Serenity’s Nest (Positive Nelson) Northside road to Northshore road (toward marina, left hand side). 
The Ricardo Richards school was selected as the first WishList School.  
Event sponsors are asking that members of the community check the school’s wishList page for items they can provide as a donation to the school. 

Tickets are $15 per child (every ticket includes 1 raffle ticket. Get tickets here). Raffle tickets will also be available at the event for $3. Local businesses are encouraged to sponsor tickets so that kids can come out and have a great day for free.  Local businesses and individuals are also encouraged to donate items for the raffle, or to donate WishList items directly to the school. 

All the proceeds from the raffle will go to the Ricard Richards School wishlist.

Raffle items already include:

  1. Cruzan Cowgirls– horseback riding tour for 2 people $200 value ( restrictions may apply)
  2. The Bistro Cafe- Gift certificate for $25
  3. The Shipwreck (Dodat)- Set of Lumi Poi Balls- $25 value
  4. STX Oil Bar– Gift certificate for $20
  5. Sampson House– Gift certificate for $25
  6. Dive Experience– Dive trip will be a six tank boat dive includes all gear, must be a certified diver  $315 value
  7. Toast40 StrandThe Mill– Gift certificate for $100
  8. Crucian Gold– Cucian Knot bracelet $70 value

Items that have been donated so far include:

Gallows Bay Hardware– A Ford 3050 watt generator.

Dive Experience– Ryobi heavy duty weed whacker
