ST. THOMAS — The Water and Power Authority has announced a potable water service interruption scheduled for Saturday in portions of St. Thomas.
The outage, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., will affect areas from Nadir to Thomasville including the Bovoni housing community, and the campus of the Bertha Boschulte Middle School.
The outage is necessary to allow Island Roads Corporation to tie in a twelve-inch water main near the Turpentine Run Bridge to an existing six-inch water main which feeds the area around Nadir Circle, WAPA said in a statement.
The Turpentine Run Bridge project is ongoing by the Department of Public Works, and involves the relocation of existing water and power utilities.
