Three Men Arrested On St. Croix For Domestic Violence

News / Virgin Islands / September 6, 2014

Three men were arrested on Friday at about 1:30 pm in the La Grande Princess area on third degree assault domestic violence charges, the V.I.P.D. has revealed.

According to police, a follow-up investigation was being conducted into an assault case when the men, Karime Williams, 31; Troy Nisbet, 39 and Kareem Gordon, 29 were taken into custody, but not before making a last-ditch effort to get away.

The police were searching for a white Ford Taurus that the suspects were supposedly using to escape, which was spotted in the Pelican Cove area. When police attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, the driver disregarded it and sped away.

The chase did not last long, however, as police later found the white Ford Taurus abandoned in the Nicasio Nico area. The suspects were later captured in La Grande Princess.

The suspects were held without bail in accordance with V.I. law pending their appearance at their Advice of Rights hearing.

I wear many hats, I suppose, but the one which fits me best would be journalism, second to that would be radio personality, thirdly singer/songwriter and down the line. I've been the Editor-In-Chief at my videogames website, Gamesthirst, for over 5 years, writing over 7,000 articles and more than 2 million words. I'm also very passionate about where I live, the United States Virgin Islands, and I'm intent on making it a better place by being resourceful and keeping our leaders honest. VI Consortium was birthed out of said desire, hopefully my efforts bear fruit. Reach me at [email protected].
