News / Virgin Islands / September 16, 2014

A student at the St. Croix Educational Complex said a moving vehicle rolled over his feet while he was standing near the Queen Mary Highway outside the school’s campus on Monday morning, according to the V.I.P.D.

The incident took place at the start of the school day at around 7:15 a.m. Police say the vehicle involved was a Dodge Caravan that was traveling from west to east. While making a left turn into the campus, the student said the vehicle ran over his feet.  The young victim was taken to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center by ambulance for treatment.

Medical staff at the hospital confirmed the student did not suffer any broken bones, police have confirmed.

Detectives with the Traffic Investigation Bureau are investigating the case.
