Home Invasion On St. John, Suspect Escapes

News / Virgin Islands / November 12, 2014

A woman on St. John told police Monday she was sleeping in her home in Calabash Boom when she heard a noise. The woman said when she exited her bedroom to investigate the source of the disturbance, she saw a man fleeing through a porch door located on the eastern side of her home.

After the victim placed a call to 911, officers arrived at the residence and found a small flip knife on a bed in another unoccupied bedroom.

Nothing was reported missing from the home and no one was injured in the incident. The knife was confiscated and turned over to Forensic technicians for examination.

Anyone with information on this or other crimes is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
