Crucian Christmas Carnival Princess, Duchess To Be Crowned On Sunday

The 2014-2015 St. Croix Crucian Christmas Carnival season is in full swing and with it comes the crowing of queens, princesses, duchesses and monarchs galore.

On Sunday, Dec. 14, the first of many royalty competitions will take place with the littlest royals vying for the crown of Crucian Christmas Carnival Princess and Duchess at the Island Center for the Performing Arts at 3 p.m.

Meet the young contestants below:



Contestant #1
Omayraly Santiago is a 9-year-old 5th Grade honor roll student who attends the Charles H. Emmanuel Elementary School. She enjoys dancing, singing, modeling and going to the beach with her family. Omayraly is a former Miss Charles H. Emmanuel Duchess and Miss Latin Princess 2013.

Kyonique Ceneyah Thompson is an 11-year-old 6th Grader at the Ricardo Richards Elementary S
chool. Kyonique has a passion for children, life, socializing and spending quality time with her family. She aspires to be a pediatrician.

Jah’Mayah Hospedales is an 11-year-old 6th Grader at the Juanita Gardine Elementary School. Her favorite subject is Social Studies and she hopes to one day become a lawyer. She loves to read, sing, act and play volleyball.

Carnival Duchess
This year, 6-year-old Ahnyra Messer is the only contestant vying for the Carnival Duchess title and will be crowned at the show. Ahnyra attends the Lew Muckle Elementary School and loves to play, read, and spend time with her family.
Tickets are $7 for children under 12 and $12 for adults. They may be purchased at the door.
