Mapp Taps Four To Fill Public Employees Relations Board Spots

Government / News / Virgin Islands / April 22, 2015

ST. CROIX – Gov. Kenneth Mapp selected four people – including the chairman – to sit on the Public Employees Relations Board (PERB) Tuesday.

Mapp appointed Pierina Jacobs Roebuck Feldman to the PERB, and designated her as Chairman. The governor also appointed Mohammed Misbeh to the PERB for the District of St. Croix, adding that Misbeh has management experience.

Others appointed included Joseph Gumbs to the District of St. Thomas as the St. Thomas member with labor experience and Frederick Joseph to the PERB on the District of St. Croix as person with labor experience.

“It is my hope that these nominations will see prompt and favorable confirmations,” Mapp said. “Each of these individuals bring experience and knowledge and will enhance the board’s ability to meet its busy agenda and serve the people of the U.S. Virgin Islands.”

All nominees will have terms for five years and once confirmed, they will continue to serve until the appointment and qualification of their successors, he said.
