ST. CROIX — 15-year-old Mariam Batista, who was reported missing on Tuesday, has been found by police, according to Kevin Jackson, VIPD’s Public Information Officer.
Batista, a resident of St. Thomas, was believed to be on St. Croix. She was last seen over three weeks ago on May 8, 2015, at her residence in Estate Tutu.
The minor’s mother said when she last contacted her daughter, she was with her boyfriend. However, the mother gave no indication as to who he was, or where the minor was staying.
Today, at about 10:00 a.m., Batista was found at the Candido Guadeloupe Housing Community located in Estate Slob on St. Croix and subsequently turned over to the Department of Human Services.
