Every week, Crime Stoppers USVI selects three crimes that have yet to be solved in the Virgin Islands, and asks the community to help with any information that could possibly lead to justice. Below are the three incidents selected by Crime Stoppers for the week of June 10.
St. Thomas: On April 25 at about 10:15 a.m. while opening the Famous Delight business (former St. Thomas Dairies), a man was approached by an armed perpetrator who was wearing all black and a black mask, and forced the victim to get down on the floor. According to the victim, another male, also wearing all black with a black mask, assisted as perpetrator as ‘the look-out’ person. Over $85 was stolen, and the victim had to be treated for injuries. The suspects fled on foot to the area of Lovenlund Apartments.
St. John: On Wednesday, May 20th at about 9:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to Stein Works in the Estate Carolina area. The owner stated that the store was locked and secured on May 19th at about 4:00 p.m. When reopened on May 20th at 9:00 a.m., the owner discovered that the store had been burglarized. Stolen were several pieces of rare jewelry, many of which contained both silver and gold along with gold scraps. Investigation revealed that entry was gained by breaking the glass of the southern window. The value of the jewelry is over $10,000.
St. Croix: On November 09, 2002 the body of 17-year-old Stephanie Parris of Castle Burke was found on the ground a few feet from a black Nissan Altima in that area. A second body, that of 19-year-old Dale Roberson of Morningstar, was found shot to death inside that same heavily-tinted Altima.
