St. Croix: J’Wa “Bala” Charlery is wanted for homicide in Richmond, Va. Mr. Charlery is charged with the shooting death of woman in a Richmond hotel room in November of 2014. J’wa Charlery is a 20-year-old black male, six feet tall, weighs 160 pounds and is believed to be on St. Croix at this time. Mr. Charlery has made statements that he is not going back to jail alive. Recent intel suggests he was armed in St. Croix recently and may have been involved in a shooting near Concordia.
St. Thomas: On March 25 at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers observed a vehicle that was reported stolen from Cyril King Airport earlier in the day. While attempting to stop the vehicle in the area of Barbel Plaza, the occupants of the stolen car fired shots at the officers and struck the police unit. Other officers attempted to intercept the vehicle while traveling up Mafolie Road and again the occupants fired at another police unit. The suspects abandoned the vehicle in the area of Agnes Fancy and fled. No one was injured. The stolen vehicle is a gray Jeep Patriot with tag # TEL-705.
St. John: On Monday, Feb. 23 at 8:30 a.m. an individual reported that the business, De Coal Pot, had been burglarized. An officer traveled with the individual to the business and observed two window louvers on the northern side window had been removed. The business had been locked and secured on Sunday, Feb. 22 around 9:30 p.m. and returned to on Monday, Feb. 23 at about 7 a.m. One hundred dollars in cash was stolen.
