Every week, Crime Stoppers USVI selects three crimes that have yet to be solved in the Virgin Islands, and asks the community to help with any information that could possibly lead to justice. Below are the three incidents selected by Crime Stoppers for the week of May 20.

St. Croix: The Criminal Investigation Bureau and Major Crime detectives are still investigating a burned human body that was found inside an SUV in the Ha’Penny beach on Saturday, November 1st, 2014. Evidence collected at the scene is helping the detectives to identify the body in this active investigation. If you know anything about this, please let us know.

St. John: On April 13th at about 5:15 p.m. officers were dispatched to Pine Peace regarding shots being fired. The victim stated that while walking in the area, he heard gun fire and ran to a nearby store. It was not until after he came out of the store did he realize that he had been shot, nor did he see who shot him. The victim was treated for a single shot in the upper right thigh, then transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center on St. Thomas for further medical treatment.

St. Thomas: On January 31st at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to a possible shooting in the area of Coki Point Beach in Smith Bay. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a black male lying lifeless in the area between Calley’s Place and Dushi by the Sea. The victim was identified by police as Anthony Charles, who had been shot to death.
