ST. JOHN — 29-year-old Raphael G. Dalmida of Estate Pastory was charged with third degree assault on Thursday after striking an individual with a tire iron causing serious bodily damage to the victim, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced on Friday.
Unable to post bail of $25,000, Dalmida was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
The VIPD divulged no further information concerning the incident.
Elsewhere, 56-year-old Francisco J. Guzman of Two Williams, St. Thomas was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI), after being involved in an auto collision that occurred on Tabor and Harmony Road slightly after 11 p.m.
Bail for Guzman was set at $500.
