ST. THOMAS — Police found the lifeless body of a Hispanic male with multiple gunshot wounds at Sugar Estate early this morning, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced this afternoon.
According to Jackson, at about 2:40 a.m., the 911 emergency call center received notification from a concerned citizen of gunshots being fired at a nearby residence, stemming from the back of his house. According to the concerned citizen, as he opened his door to ascertain the matter, an unknown man ran into his home and collapsed.
Officers conducted an inspection of the residence and discovered an unresponsive Hispanic male, who appeared to have succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was later identified as 48-year-old Victor Colon, a resident of the Paul M. Pearson Garden Housing Community.
