KFC Golden Rock Robbed At Gunpoint

Breaking News / News / Virgin Islands / August 6, 2015

ST. CROIX — The Golden Rock branch of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) was robbed last night at gunpoint, VIPD Public Information Office revealed on Wednesday.

According to Jackson, at approximately 10:00 p.m. the 911 emergency call center received notification that a robbery had taken place at the fast food restaurant. Officers then made their way to the location where they met with employees, who relayed what had occurred.

According to the preliminary information gathered, the staff had already locked the doors of the restaurant as they began their close-out procedures for the evening, when one of workers heard the loud sound of breaking glass. Two armed men had entered the northern door of the restaurant after having broken the glass with a cinder block.

The two suspects then ordered the employees to the ground and demanded money. They took an undisclosed amount of cash, the mobile phones of the employees and the restaurant’s phone. The suspects fled the restaurant leaving the employees shaken but unharmed.

The perpetrators were described as having been two black males, dressed in all black with stocking caps covering their faces.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating the incident.

I wear many hats, I suppose, but the one which fits me best would be journalism, second to that would be radio personality, thirdly singer/songwriter and down the line. I've been the Editor-In-Chief at my videogames website, Gamesthirst, for over 5 years, writing over 7,000 articles and more than 2 million words. I'm also very passionate about where I live, the United States Virgin Islands, and I'm intent on making it a better place by being resourceful and keeping our leaders honest. VI Consortium was birthed out of said desire, hopefully my efforts bear fruit. Reach me at [email protected].
