Man Who Burglarized Store And Struck Owner With Beer Bottle Arrested, Jailed

News / Virgin Islands / August 10, 2015

ST. THOMAS — Sean Stridiron, 38, of Estate Tutu was arrested last Friday at about 2:13 p.m. and charged with third degree burglary and unauthorized possession of a firearm in connection with an incident that occurred on Tuesday, August 4, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced on today.

Jackson said Stridiron was arrested after he was positively identified by the victim as the male who removed several items from his business after hours on August 4, at 12:00 a.m. The victim also identified Stridiron as the male that struck him with a beer bottle to his head on that same morning, causing a laceration to the left side of his face, which required four sutures to close.

Stridiron was also charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm after he turned over a 38-caliber Taurus special to the arresting officers. He also admitted to removing items from the victim’s business after the business was closed, in addition to admitting that he did not have a license to carry a firearm.

Unable to make bail of $75,000, Stridiron was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
