ST. CROIX — Following the arrest and charging of former Governor John P. de Jongh yesterday, Senator Kenneth Gittens, chairman of the Committee of Rules and Judiciary, shared his thoughts.
I will continue to say that we as a territory, have to decide if we are serious about stamping out public corruption. We’ve seen where elected officials on the mainland and even nearby Puerto Rico, were indicted and/or jailed for simpler infractions. The time is now when all of our officials must be held accountable. — Kenneth Gittens.
