Man Arrested, Jailed For Beating 8-Month Pregnant Wife

ST. THOMAS — A man here was arrested and remanded to the Bureau of Corrections after assaulting his 8-month pregnant wife on Wednesday, VIPD Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced tonight.

According to the Ms. Freeman, yesterday at 10:46 p.m., Ravinder Singh, 38, of Estate Wintberg was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery after he was positively identified as the individual responsible for assaulting his wife who is eight months pregnant, causing numerous injuries about her body.

The victim was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment and observation after the attack from her husband.

Singh is currently incarcerated pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
