ST. CROIX — VIPD officers found a dead body in Estate Enfield Green this morning after being alerted by a concerned resident, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson revealed this afternoon.

According to Mr. Jackson, at roughly 10:33 a.m., the 911 emergency call center received a call that a concerned citizen had found a body in the residential area. Responding officers reported to the rocky beach vicinity of Enfield Green, where the decomposed body was discovered.

The corpse could not be readily identified, according to police, and detectives assigned to the case were awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the identity of the deceased.
