ST. CROIX — Students at the Eulalie Rivera Elementary School will be dismissed early today because of low water pressure affecting the school’s buildings which cannot be fixed while students are present, a press release the Department of Education issued on Friday morning has revealed.

According to the release, parents should start picking up students immediately; students will be bused between 12:00 noon and 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served.

Parents are strongly urged to ensure that they children are home safely and not left un-attended, according to the release.

Maintenance crew should resolved the problem over the week end. Classes are expected to resume on Monday, February 1, 2016.

The St. Croix District of the Office of the Insular Superintendent regrets the inconvenience to parents, but the safety and comfort of students and staff are paramount, the release concludes.
