Two Men Arrested In Connection With Beauty Store Robbery

Crime / News / Virgin Islands / September 12, 2016

ST. THOMAS — Two men have been arrested in connection to a burglary that occurred on Thursday, September 1 at a beauty store here, V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced on Sunday.

During the investigation of the crime scene, officers were able to view video surveillance that revealed two individuals were involved in the burglary, according to Ms. Freeman. One suspect broke in the main glass door, entered the business, and removed money out of the cash register, while the other suspect was on guard.

On Wednesday, September 7, 30-year-old Guy Vicars was arrested for aiding and abetting Timothy Honeycutt Jr. (police did not give Mr. Honeycutt’s age) who was observed by video surveillance as the individual who broke into the beauty store.

Bail for Vicars and Honeycutt was set at $25,000 by a magistrate of the Superior Court. The release wasn’t clear on whether the men were able to post bail.

The V.I.P.D. is asking anyone with information relative to this and other incidents to call 340-774-2211 or the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-714-9807. You may also contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or dial 911.
