ST. THOMAS — A man told police on Wednesday that he was robbed of his belongings and assaulted by an unknown assailant, V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman made known via press release on Thursday.
Ms. Freeman, citing a police report, said that a male victim, around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, reported that he was robbed at gunpoint. The victim said that while attempting to get into his vehicle in the area of Tootsie’s Parking Lot, an unknown male got into his vehicle pointing a black gun towards him.
The victim said he was told by the suspect to drive to the vicinity of Home Depot, where the suspect pistol-whipped him several times about his face and robbed him of his wallet and mobile device. The suspect then fled the area.
According to Ms. Freeman, the victim was treated at the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital for a laceration to his upper lip, upper left eye and the back of his head. The victim also reported that three of his teeth were chipped during the incident.
