ST. CROIX — Four people were injured during a shooting incident that occurred in the wee hours of Sunday morning at the Corner Pocket nightclub located in Kingshill, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced late Sunday.
According to Mr. Dratte, at approximately 3:51 a.m. today, units from the Marshall Command Station were dispatched to the nightclub, where four individuals had been injured from gunshots.
A V.I.P.D. preliminary investigation revealed that multiple shots had been fired from the nightclub’s front door, leaving four individuals inside the club — two males and two females — injured. Two of the victims were transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital by private vehicle, while the other two were transported by an ambulance. They were treated for non-fatal wounds, according to Mr. Dratte.
According to the V.I.P.D., the Criminal Investigation Bureau is actively moving on the incident, and is requesting the community’s assistance in bringing those involved in this crime, as well as others in the territory, to justice.
