ST. CROIX — The Virgin Islands Department of Education will hold its annual celebration of the Week of the Young Child at elementary schools across the territory from April 18-21, D.O.E. made known on Monday.
The annual activity is sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and celebrates early learning, young children, their teachers and families.
The territory’s celebration comes a week ahead of the national celebration, marked for April 23-28, in an effort to not conflict with local carnival and spring break activities taking place in the territory during the last week of April.
