The Division of Personnel announced on Monday its new initiative that it says improves the electronic handling of all its recruitment needs. NeoGov, Personnel’s new applicant tracking system, will replace the current system beginning Monday, according to the release.
Founded in 2000, NEOGOV provides market-leading talent management solutions to automate and streamline the recruitment process for government and other public sector institutions, according to Personnel. The division joins more than 1,500 federal, state and local government, universities and K-12 organizations nationwide, ranging in size from 100 to over 100,000 employees who utilize NeoGov recruitment software.
NeoGov streamlines the hiring process, and provides more information to job seekers by granting them the ability to track applications and create an account to simplify future job applications. Personnel Director, Milton Potter, said that the implementation of an online tracking system to streamline its recruiting and hiring process will assist in creating a more efficient government.
The Division of Personnel seeks to:
- Deliver a system that offers a user friendly interface for both applicants and departments;
- Automate the minimum qualifications process; and
- Reduce the amount of manual entries.
Interested job seekers can still visit www.dopusvi.org to view and apply for positions within the government and starting May 8. All Division of Personnel advertised positions will also be available on the nationwide NeoGov website, www.governmentjobs.com. If job seekers experience technical difficulties, they may contact Personnel’s Recruitment and Classification Unit at 340-774-8588.
