Man Arrested After Allegedly Forcing Minor To Hold His Penis. He Then Masturbated In Her Presence, Police Say

Crime / News / Virgin Islands / November 11, 2017

ST. CROIX — A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with unlawful sexual contact after a minor reported two incidents that occurred Thursday and Friday, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Sunday.

According to Mr. Dratte, the minor on Friday told her friends in school that the man, Carlos Ayala, seen above, was sexually molesting her. The friends reported the allegation to the school nurse, who then reported the incident to 911. Soon after, V.I.P.D. officers visited the school to speak with the minor.

The minor told police that on Thursday, Mr. Ayala asked her to touch his penis. When she refused, he grabbed her hand and placed it on his penis and began masturbating, according to Mr. Dratte. The minor, 17, said Mr. Ayala repeated the same act on Friday before she departed for school. To protect the minor, The Consortium decided not to publish the suspect’s relation to the minor.

The suspect was arrested and charged with unlawful sexual contact, and was remanded to the Golden Grove detention facility pending his advisement hearing, according to Mr. Dratte.
