ST. THOMAS — JetBlue announced on Thursday that it will resume its second daily flight between St. Thomas’s Cyril E. King Airport and San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport on Feb. 15. The return of an afternoon flight adds to the current schedule of one daily flight in the morning on this route, JetBlue said. The airline also operates one daily flight between St. Croix’s Henry E. Rohlsen Airport and San Juan.
“We’re pleased to restore this second daily flight to JetBlue’s schedule in St. Thomas,” said Giselle Cortes, director of international airport and commercial for JetBlue. “JetBlue remains committed to the U.S. Virgin Islands’ recovery. Hurricane Recovery and Restoration of Service
JetBlue, a New York-based carrier, said it worked to evacuate customers and crew members ahead of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Rescue flights were also conducted in order to evacuate customers and residents in the aftermath of the storm, as well as bring in much needed relief supplies. The company said it will continue to monitor demand in the market and make changes to its capacity as needed.
