Dept. Of Health Takes Health Clinic To Communities In USVI

ST. CROIX — In an effort to assist individuals in the territory to take charge of their health, the Department of Health in collaboration with the New York State Nursing Association and the Virgin Islands State Nurses Association, will be providing mobile medical clinics in various communities on each island. Doctors, nurse practitioners, and nurses, will be present to provide prevention and healthcare services. Flu and Tetanus vaccinations will also be available, D.O.H. said.

A variation of medical mobile vans and tents will be used to provide these essential services. Michelle Davis, D.O.H. commissioner, said, “I’m very pleased with the collaboration of public and private partners to provide needed health services to the VI community.

Below are the dates and times of the mobile clinic services:

St. Croix          9:30am-3:30pm-both days                           

Monday, January 22nd : Estate Williams Delight Community Center –  mobile van

Tuesday, March 23rd

  • Lorraine Village, Estate Grove Place – mobile van
  • Aureo Diaz Heights Community Center, Estate Kings Hill

St. Thomas

Wednesday, January 24th:

  • Smith Bay Ball Field from 9:30am-12:00pm
  • UVI field 1:00pm -3:30pm

Thursday, January 25th:

  • Mobile van will be at the WICO dock (Gate 2) in conjunction with the Maternal Child Health’s (MCH) Baby Shower; 9:30am-3:30pm
  • There will be an evening clinic from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Community Health Clinic (SRMC)

Friday, January 26th : Home visits will be conducted in the Sugar Estate Seniors Housing Complex

St. John

January 26th St. John: Medical Services will be provided under a tent at the Coral Bay field near the Fire Station
