ST. CROIX — Olivia Travel Group, Inc., the organizer of a cruise ship visit to St. Croix carrying 2,100 L.G.B.T.Q. women, will host an all-day affair on St. Croix on Friday, with activities planned for the visiting L.G.B.T.Q. women from morning until 3:00 p.m.

That’s according to a press invite Olivia Travel Group, Inc., sent out to media houses today. The company, which is celebrating 45 years of providing travel and entertainment options focused on L.G.B.T.Q. women, has not been to St. Croix since the early 1990s, according to information provided in the invite.

The women will be welcomed to St. Croix by Senator Janelle Sarauw, according to information provided in the invite. Ms. Sarauw is openly gay.

Local activities are being organized by St. Croix Pride, a local nonprofit focused on the L.G.B.T.Q. community of St. Croix. The activities include the following, according to the invite:

  • Welcome stations operating from 9:00 am on the Frederiksted pier and across from the pier exit on Strand Street
  • Senator Janelle Sarauw will welcome the cruise guests at 10:00 am on the pier
  • Judy Dlugacz, founder and owner of Olivia Travel Group, will present donations to The Women’s Coalition of St. Croix and St. Croix Animal Welfare Center at 10:30 a.m. on the pier
  • Frederiksted and Christiansted Pride sponsors will provide special offers to cruise guests
  • Beach party hosted by St. Croix Pride and Sand Castle on the Beach will provide beach and social activities from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Sand Castle and on the ajoining beach lot known as Dorsch Beach,
