Power Interruptions To Affect St. Croix Thursday And Friday

Community Center / News / Virgin Islands / April 18, 2018

While WAPA crews and contractors work to upgrade the electric grid in both districts, some temporary electrical service interruptions are required, WAPA said Wednesday.

On Thursday, April 19, approximately 55 customers in the Green Street, Christiansted area will be affected. The service interruption, which will be in effect from 9 am – 2 pm, will facilitate equipment installation and the energizing of new service lines.

On Friday, April 20, 48 customers on St. Croix Feeder 9A will experience a service interruption as crews work in the Clifton Hill area to upgrade both primary lines and transformers. The service interruption will begin at 9 am and be concluded by 12 noon.

WAPA apologized for any inconvenience caused by these electrical service interruptions.
