ST. THOMAS — After winning the VI Calypso Monarch two years in a row — and the St. Croix Calypso Monarch for three years running — Temisha Libert was dethroned last night during the 2018 calypso finals at the Lionel Roberts Stadium here, bringing her winning streak to an end. Known as Caribbean Queen, Ms. Libert was bested by Calypsonian John Gotti, whose lyrics, stage presence and overall performance placed him above his competitors.

  • Humorous- Ninja Kev
  • Political rendition – Nikki smith
  • Social Commentary – The Bloop
  • Most improved- The Arc
  • 1st- 1,707 Nikki Smith
  • 2nd- 1,687 Prince Khamoi
  • Winner- 1,747 John Gotti
