Mulch Can Now Be Picked Up In St. Thomas And St. John

ST. THOMAS — Department of Agriculture (D.O.A.) Commissioner Carlos Robles announced on Friday that chipped vegetative hurricane debris is now available for pickup in the Estate Bordeaux farming community, just north of the bus turnaround in St. Thomas.

Mulch can be picked up from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday beginning today until the supply is exhausted, according to D.O.A. Residents must bring their own truck, shovels, and other necessary equipment for pickup. A release of liability must also be signed before mulch collection, D.O.A. said.

Residents are also advised that the location for mulch distribution on St. John has moved to D.O.A. in Coral Bay. Mulch will be distributed from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m Monday-Friday, starting Wednesday, June 6, according to the department.

D.O.A. said Mr. Robles will soon provide information on the availability of chipped vegetative hurricane debris on St. Croix.
