The 2018 Primarily Election was certified Tuesday by the Board of Elections, though there were no changes in the outcomes for the Senatorial and Gubernatorial results established on August 4 following the closing of polls.
But the certified results show that write-ins played a role in determining Democratic Territorial Committee membership, as there were not enough candidates in the race. The committee’s District At-large office has 16 seats, but only nine people ran. And while the St. Croix and St. Thomas Districts both have six seats, only four individuals ran on St. Croix and three on St. Thomas, according to the certified results, seen below.
