Crime / News / Virgin Islands / October 22, 2018

Local and federal law enforcement officials have alerted U.S. Virgin Islands residents of a man on the loose who is believed to be armed and dangerous, and who is said to be hiding in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The man, Paul “Bogus” Girard, escaped from prison, according to federal law enforcement officials in Puerto Rico. A release issued in July by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the territory, said Mr. Girard was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment for possession of prison contraband. He was also ordered to serve the sentence consecutively to a separate sentence imposed by the Superior Court on March 3, 2015.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, through Crime Stoppers USVI, is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone willing to provide information leading to Mr. Girard’s arrest. Your tip, which can be submitted here, will be anonymous.

Mr. Girard is of a brown complexion and stands 6 feet, two inches tall. Last seen he had long, black locks, and a tattoo that read “Linda” on his left shoulder. He weighs 210 pounds and has brown eyes, according to the information provided by law enforcement.
