Board Of Elections To Meet On Thursday To Count Absentee Ballots

The Board of Elections announced late Tuesday that it will meet on Thursday to begin counting the 2018 General Election walk-in, mail-in and provisional ballots.

The counting will be held at the Elections System offices starting at 1:00 p.m., the Election System said. Office locations are as follows: St. Croix Elections Office, located in the Sunny Isles Annex, Unit 4, and the St. Thomas Elections Office, located at Lockhart Gardens (upstairs Banco Popular).

The Election System said the media, candidates, and public are invited to view the process. Because room is limited on St. Croix, the Election System is requiring that candidates who wish to monitor the results have one individual at a time doing so.
