ST. CROIX — The incoming Bryan administration will announce members of its transition team on Wednesday morning at WTJX on St. Croix, The Consortium has learned. The Consortium intends to carry the 10:00 a.m. press conference live on its website and Facebook platform.
Nykole Tyson, former director of public relations at the Department of Health, is on the transition team. She told The Consortium Monday night that the press conference was being held to relay information relative to the transition team. Ms. Tyson did not furnish details.
Rumors have been making the rounds regarding names being considered by the Bryan administration for cabinet positions. However, John Engerman, the Bryan-Roach team’s territorial campaign manager, sought to dispel those rumors in a recent post on Facebook:
“I know everyone is pondering on the $50M question: What’s next? Well here’s an initial response:
“The transition team is being formed. This team is being led by Karl Knight and Dayna Clendinen.
“Teams are being formed for different aspects of the transition process. More information will be disseminated as it becomes available.
“In the meanwhile please continue to spread the words of excitement regarding the course being changed.
“Huge Favor: please continue to spread the good word of our campaign. Please refrain from any threatening words of job security to any government employee. No one is authorized to have discussions on who the Bryan-Roach administration will be retaining and who will be terminated. Remember, the territory is in a very fragile state right now and the last thing we need is any form of paranoia to spread.
“FYI: No Cabinet positions Have been appointed or reserved. Don’t fall for the rumors.”
While the transition team is expected to be unveiled Wednesday, it was not clear whether cabinet heads would be announced.
