Visitors Get Special Welcome To St. Croix With D.O.T.’s ’12 Days Of Christmas’ Event

Visitors coming to St. Croix between Dec. 14-25 are receiving an extra special welcome filled with treats and entertainment. The Department of Tourism is hosting what it calls “12 Days of Christmas”, which sees tourists and residents alike being treated with a number of Crucian tastes, among them coquito, guavaberry, rum punch, fruit punch, assorted tarts, local candies and, of course, Cruzan Rum.

The extra effort to please guests during the holiday season is D.O.T. Commissioner Beverly Nicholson-Doty’s and her staff’s way of highlighting the importance of a proper welcome and first impression, which helps to set the tone for the visitor’s experience on St. Croix.

Visitors and residents appeared to have enjoyed the first of the 12-day event, with many indulging the rum and local eats, along with the excellent customer service from Department of Tourism employees.

Also part of yesterday’s kickoff was steel pan entertainment, greeters and moko jumbles.
