UVI’s Spring Semester Begins Jan. 14; New Student Orientation Set for Jan. 8 – 11

Spring semester classes at the University of the Virgin Islands are scheduled to begin on Monday, Jan. 14, UVI announced today. Online registration for continuing UVI students is available, with access through the University’s BanWeb registration and mycampus portal. Late registration for new and continuing students is set for Friday, Jan. 11. UVI class schedules, a link to the BanWeb login page and additional details are available from the Registrar’s section of the UVI website: www.uvi.edu.

New Student Orientation
Orientation activities are planned for new students enrolling at UVI on both campuses. On the Albert A. Sheen Campus, activities will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 8, to Sunday, Jan. 13. On the St. Thomas Campus, activities begin on Wednesday, Jan. 9 to Saturday, Jan. 12. New student advisement and registration is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 9 and Thursday, Jan. 10, on the Albert A. Sheen Campus and St. Thomas Campus, respectively. All newly matriculated students are required to participate in orientation activities prior to the start of the semester for academic advising and development of their class schedules. Orientation also includes sessions to introduce new students to UVI, networking with other students and instructors, campus tours, an official welcome from UVI President David Hall, and student exchange meetings on both campuses.

All Aboard: Set Sail for Success Celebration with remarks by President Hall: 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Meet Your Dean: 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Get Connected to UVI (Advisement, Registration, Orientation sessions): 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Lunch: Noon – 1:30 p.m.
Get Connected to UVI Continues & ID processing: 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Supporting your Buccaneer Session for Parents: 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
