The Department of Education announced late Thursday that the St. Croix Educational Complex High School will be open for instruction Friday.
Students were dismissed early on January 24 due to a water serviceinterruption as a result of low water reserves in the school’s cistern, D.O.E. said. The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority, as well as a private water utility company, were called to the campus to replenish the water supply, according to the release.
All points-of-use systems at the schoolweretested and water has been successfully restored tothe campus.
D.O.E. thanked the community for its patience and understanding as the matter was resolved.
