Donna Christensen has won the 2014 Democratic primary elections, beating out her closest competitor Adlah A. Donastorg decisively to become the party’s nominee for the general election on November 4th.
Christensen won with 3,016 votes, representing 35.18 percent, while former Senator Donastorg garnered 2,083 votes, representing 24.30 percent.
Christensen will now face off with the independent candidates in the general election, with her most formidable opponent being Kenneth Mapp, a well-respected Virgin Islands politician, who’s already running an impressive campaign.
The Delegate will also see challenges by Mona Barnes and Judge Soraya Diase Coffelt.
