Due to inclement weather currently affecting the U.S. Virgin Islands, activities planned for Friday and Saturday have been postponed. Below, please find a list of area happenings that have been pushed back, in addition to local areas of severe flooding.
The Division of Special Education’s Fall Parent Forum scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8 at Marriott Frenchman’s Reef on St. Thomas from 9:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m., has been postponed until further notice.
Antilles School play “Myth Adventures,” scheduled to debut this evening (Friday, Nov. 7) is being pushed back. Rescheduled dates are:
- Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Prior Jollek Hall
- Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
UVI’s home soccer match on Saturday, Nov. 8 on the Albert Sheen Campus, St. Croix, has been postponed. The match will be rescheduled.
All Virgin Islands public schools closed at 1 p.m. Friday.
VITEMA has received several reports of flash flooding along St. Croix roadways, including:
- Morning Star vicinity entrance to Salt River
- Estate Glynn, vicinity Glynn Gas Station
- Entire roadway to Ricardo Richards Elementary School
- Areas of Mon Bijou
- Estate Humbug
- Peter’s Rest vicinity of Junie’s Bar
VITEMA has received several reports of flash flooding along St. Thomas roadways, including:
- Altona vicinity Addelita Cancryn Jr. High School
- Contant
- Brookman Road
- Harwood Highway
