The U.S. Marshals Service has enlisted the assistance of Crime Stoppers USVI in an effort to capture a Wanted Man, presumed to be on St. Croix.
J’wa Charlery, a 19-year-old black male, who also goes by the street name “Balla,” is wanted on first degree murder charges stemming from an incident in the state of Virginia on Nov. 2, 2014.
Charlery, along with two other St. Croix men, allegedly shot and killed a young female at a hotel in Richmond, Va., and is believed to be on St. Croix at this time. Charlery is 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of J’wa Charlery is asked to contact the VIPD Major Crimes Unit at (340) 642-8449, 911 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477. If a tipster’s anonymous information leads to his capture, a cash reward will be paid out.
Police remind the public that it is a crime to harbor a fugitive.
