Every year, military service men and women who died in active service are remembered with commemoration events across the U.S. mainland and in the territory. This year, the Office of Veterans Affairs, American Legion, Survivor Outreach Services and the VA Vet Center have partnered to make this year’s event memorable, according to a press release issued today.
Traditionally held on May 30, ceremonies will occur in tandem on all three islands on May 25.
The St. Croix march will start at the Frederiksted Post Office and proceed to the Federiksted Cemetery for the graveside ceremony, and continue to the Frederiksted waterfront adjacent to the Verne I. Richards Veterans Memorial Park, for the seaside service.

Immediately following the seaside event, the commemoration will proceed to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Veterans Park via main street. The official commemoration ceremony will be held at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Veterans Park.
