Two St. Croix Men Arrested On Gun Possession Charge

ST. CROIX — Two men were arrested on the same day here and charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced on Thursday.

According to Jackson, the first arrest occurred on Company Street in downtown Christiansted on August 18.


At roughly 5:53pm, Dean Schneider, 21, of Harbor View Apartments was arrested and charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm after officers discovered a 0.45 caliber Glock 30 in addition to a 9mm Taurus PT III with an obliterated serial number in his vehicle.

Unable to make bail of $25,000, Schneider was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.

The second arrest took place at 6:24pm when Ameade Williams, 20, of Estate Work and Rest was arrested and charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm in connection with the arrest of Schneider.
