Mapp Announces Annual Children’s Holiday Party For St. Thomas And St. Croix

ST. CROIX — Governor Kenneth Mapp announced today via a Government House press release that his annual Children’s Holiday Party will be held on St. Thomas and St. Croix on January 4th and 5th respectively.

According to the release, gifts will be given to children ages 4 to 10, and the Office of the Governor will provide food and drinks. There will be a raffle drawing and other fun events as well.

The event on St. Thomas will take place at Emancipation Garden from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016, and at Fort Christianvern in Christiansted from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. here on Tuesday, January 5, 2016.

The children of St. John enjoyed a Christmas party in Cruz Bay during the island’s tree lighting celebration, according to the release.

The governor commended Lisa Webster-Potter, chief of protocol, St. Thomas Administrator Merwin Potter, St. John Administrator Camille “Juju” Paris, and St. Croix Administrator Stephanie Williams for their work towards hosting successful holiday parties on all three Islands.
