ST. THOMAS — The body of a Caucasian male was found unresponsive in a Sapphire House on Christmas Day, VIPD Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced via press release today.

According to Ms. Freeman, police officers responding to a call of a death on arrival (DOA), observed the body and found it to be unresponsive.

Further investigation revealed that the unresponsive male was discovered hanging in a tree in the courtyard of the residence by the next door neighbor. The release added that the body was removed by the neighbor who discovered the victim before the police arrived on the scene.

The name of the victim is being withheld until identification has been made and until next of kin has been notified.
