Elena Christian, Central High And John H. Woodson Classes To Resume On Tuesday

Community Center / Virgin Islands / March 7, 2016

ST. CROIX — The Virgin Islands Department of Education, St. Croix Office of the Insular Superintendent, informed on Monday evening parents, students and staff at Central High School, Elena Christian Jr. High and John H. Woodson Jr. High that classes will resume at their regular times on Tuesday, March 8, in order to eliminate the disruption of students’ classroom instruction time.

Students and employees are asked to bring bottled drinking water with them, as Virgin Islands Water and Power crews continue to work to restore water to the schools. Alternative sources are being identified to supply water to bathroom facilities, according to the release.

The St. Croix District and the Department of Education thank the public for its patience as WAPA works to correct this issue.
